SurfAholics TE gives members more than a place to display a website. Its member area includes a built-in tracker and rotator, so you can organize destination links and review traffic without juggling an unrelated tool for every small campaign.
A useful first project is a two-page test: keep the offer the same, change one part of the landing page, and use a small amount of advertising to learn what deserves a closer look. Here is how to approach that test using the controls available in SurfAholics TE.
Start with two pages that answer the same need
Choose a single offer and one next step, such as reading a guide or requesting more information. Version A might lead with a short checklist; version B might explain the same benefit in a short paragraph. Keep the offer, audience, and call to action consistent so you can interpret the difference.
Check both pages on a desktop and phone before sending traffic. Test the destination links and forms yourself, and note those test visits separately. Use only pages and redirects that meet the advertising rules of every site where you intend to promote them.
Create a tracker for each destination
In the member area, open Ads → Rotators. The tracker section lets you enter a tracker name and site URL and provides a tracker URL for the destination. Use names that distinguish the two versions, such as checklist-A and paragraph-B.
The practical benefit is organization: you can recognize which destination you are reviewing instead of guessing from a long link. The interface also provides Daily Stats. Tracker and rotator allowances depend on membership level, so check the allowance shown in your own account before planning a larger campaign.
Put the two destinations in one rotator
The rotator section provides a rotator URL and a View/Manage Rotator control. Add the trackers for your two pages using the site-management controls. You can then promote one rotator link while managing its destinations in the member area.
The Traffic Control Graph controls how frequently each site is shown relative to the others. For an initial comparison, give the two destinations the same relative setting and click Update to save changes. Equal settings are a starting point, not a promise of exactly equal delivered views or a statistically controlled experiment. Check the actual statistics before drawing conclusions.
Check placement rules and Smart Filter
Before submitting the rotator link to any advertising source, confirm that source permits rotators and that every destination is acceptable. The built-in Smart Filter is described as reducing the chance of a site being displayed at the same site where you are promoting it. Treat that as a helpful safeguard, not a guarantee or a substitute for checking your destination list.
Review visits and useful actions separately
Use the tracker and rotator daily statistics to review recorded traffic over the same period. A recorded view is not proof of a unique person, genuine interest, or a sale. Compare those figures with confirmed actions in your own form, email, or sales system, and avoid counting your own checks as campaign responses.
The built-in help section covers setting up trackers and rotators, conversion tracking, daily stats, tracking stats, and source ranks. If you want to use conversion tracking, follow that help and verify a test action before relying on the numbers. Do not assume that adding a tracker automatically measures every subscription or purchase.
Keep the first test small
- One offer, two destinations, one deliberate difference.
- Two clearly named trackers and a checked rotator link.
- A limited allocation of advertising and a recorded start date.
- A review of delivered traffic alongside useful actions.
- One next change based on what the results can reasonably support.
SurfAholics TE also provides separate areas for website, banner, square-banner, and text advertising. Keep those formats distinct when recording results. The value of the built-in tools is a more manageable campaign and a clearer review process; exposure alone does not guarantee conversions.
